That river in Egypt

"This is The Inferno, painted by Giovanni Da Modena in 1410. The name is debatable, since this isn't just a single painting but part of something larger. It's painted in the Bologna Cathedral of San Petronio. Another depiction of hell, with what appears to be Satan either giving birth to a man or shitting him out. Not sure what that's about, but hey it's hell, it's supposed to be strange and unpleasant"
