That river in Egypt

While his ankles were cuffed to eachother, he was only attached to the chair by his hands. He could stand up, and carry the chair behind him. He could probably jump through a window, but that was too risky. The first thing he needed back was his vision though. He lifted his legs up onto the seat, bringing his knees right up to his face before he stopped. He could push the sock blindfold by rubbing his face against his knees, but now he had doubts about the plan. What would he even do after? Where would he go?
