It's marvellous to grow!
Jason followed his brother Sam into the kitchen, where they shared some bonding time together over a light meal, the jock catching him up on all the escapades he had been doing in college, which mostly involved winning football games, flirting with girls and getting drunk.
While they chatted, a car pulled into the driveway. The two brothers immediately recognized it as their parent's car. Both got up and went to the front door, opening up for their parents.
The first to enter was Patrick Almond, a fat, well-dressed, well-groomed man with a wispy moustache and round face. The second was Jessica Almond, a skinny blond haired who's face was caked with all kinds of makeup.
Both parents beamed in joy when they saw Sam, embracing him joyfully.
"Oh darling, why didn't you say you were coming home early?" Jessica said, "I could have thrown you a welcome home party."
"Oh, it doesn't matter," said Patrick, "He is home now. Anyway, want to tell your old man what you have been up to while you were gone?"
Jason watched his family retreat to the living room, leaving him standing there in the hallway, remembering the ring he had bought. Should he make a wish?
