The Great Sael Adventure 1
You advise The Commodore that there's danger in the unknown, as you cling to his side (like a good pair of rubber pants clings to the skin). He nods an affirmation, and the two of you resolutely ignore the frankly bear-like noises emanating from this canoe in the middle of the ocean. How peculiar that a canoe could have even gotten this far. Where is it paddling from? Who would do this?
Suddenly the bear noises grow more aggressive, as if hunting a salmon. You begin to see that there are two men in the canoe: a large, hairy man—who frankly does resemble a bear and must be responsible for all that racket—and a very handsome blond man wearing a blue neckerchief that complements his curious, mysterious green eyes.
Out of the blue, the large bear man pulls out a somehow larger crossbow. Before you have time to panic, he lets loose a bolt, striking The Commodore in the heart, and nailing him to a post of the catamaran. That's some serious artillery!
The domineering bear man pulls out another bolt and aims toward you. You see two beady eyes shaded by bushy brows staring back at you. You hold on to the not-yet-dead Commodore who is still gasping for air, and close your eyes. You turn your back on the bear man and feel the bolt puncture your heart and pin you to your would-be lover in the last—yet most intimate—moment of your lives.
Take heed, young traveler, for the desire to be alone and ignore those around you may result in you being impaled upon your own passion. Also, we're doing a BOGO special on lessons. Your free lesson is: In the beady eyes of deceit lies your defeat.
