Bobby tries to drop out to pursue a self serving life instead of trying to obtain a degree that could make him a productive member of society. He decides to participate in capitalism and resell value village clothes online. He grows his shop and eventually starts getting recognition for his wide selection and prices. Slowly, but surely, Bobby realized that he had started a career that was selfish and did not contribute good to society. He worked on his own, and most of his conversations with other people were based of monetary transactions. Bobby realized how sad life is when every relationship you have is based off gain and not human connection, and eventually moves to Alaska to live in solitude and think. He wonders how different life would be if he had not dropped out.
