Pencil Sharpener

When you got your paper, you immediately tried peeking on the other side paper. The teacher put his hand on your test and said, “No peeking”. You apologized and put your hands by your sides to show that you were not going to peek.

After handing out the tests the teacher returned to his desk in the front of the classroom, looked at his watch and said “you may begin”. You turned over your paper and started reading the questions. This was just as you had feared! You were clueless on all the questions! All the questions were about history and culture in English speaking countries. You read the questions over and over again: What caused the American revolution? What are the four houses in the Harry Potter books?

“How in the world am I going to answer these questions?” You thought to yourself. You were about to put your pencil to the paper and start guessing when you noticed that your pencil tip was dull. That made you remember the lucky pencil sharpener in your pocket. You pulled the pencil sharpener out of your pocket and noticed that it looked old. It was dirty and had spots of rust on it.

What will you do?
