"No thanks." I say

"Cool. I can stay at your place for then?" The hedgehog asks

"I guess?" I answer.

It was weird for him to ask something like that. It felt out of place for me. Jesse pulled up to my house. We went into my house. I got my things and went up to my room. Jesse followed me up there. We laid down together on my bed, face to face. Our faces were so close, I could breath on him. He smelled nice. He smelled like water. Fresh, clean, water.

We laid there. Jesse was asleep before I knew it. I didn't want to wake him, but I was curious as to when he went to sleep. I got up. I opened my closet. I saw the clock on the inside. It said 6:13 pm. Jesse had fallen asleep at 6:12. I closed my closet, sat down on my bed, and closed my eyes.

I almost fell asleep, but I heard my mom's voice. She was saying my name. I opened my eyes. She wasn't there. I got up and looked around my room. I saw a picture I had of her. She was smiling. I picked up the picture and held it to my chest. I would keep it to remind me of her. I looked at the clock. It was 6:14.
