Everything Went Dark
It was settled: Tatum would sleep outside first. The group gave her extra blankets so she wouldn't freeze. They said goodnight and wished her luck. Evie jokingly told her that she better not be there in the morning, because y'know...if you're gone you're innocent. It was a bad joke for the time, maybe if it was a month or so after this was over then sure, it would be absolutely hilarious. But not now. Anyways, they all went to sleep.
The next morning, the group woke up to find Jack gone, Tatum gone, and the pioneer's assigned cooks cooking a bunch of meat. They also happened to find clothing and blankets that just appeared out of nowhere. Tatum and Jack were innocent. In case you were curious, only Evie, Jordan, Elliana, Emma, and Addie are alive. And knowing where and when they are, they did eat. They were hungry and cold. The meat was warm.
Again, the smaller group helped the pioneers with their chores. Jordan and Emma were taught how to hunt small animals, even though they didn't find any. Elliana and Evie learned how to stitch a quilt together out of ragged clothes. Addie helped the women watch some of the younger children.
And night came once more. It is time to decide who will sleep outside. Choose now.
