The Activity Club and the House of Frost
You open the door with the paint splotch symbol and find yourself in an ornate marble room. The room is filled with beautiful works of art, but the pieces across from you catch your eye. There are five identical paintings of Mr. Spender hanging on the wall, and in front of them is a large white ape spirit and Ed, who is doing push ups.
"C'mon, Ned, work those tiny baby muscles!" says the spirit. He's leaning casually against what appears to be an invisible wall between you and the two of them. It occurs to you that this must be the Mayview barrier, considering how close to it you were. The spirit looks up as you enter.
"Look, Ned! It's that guy who's cooler than you!" he says. Ed looks up at you, then stands up, wiping the sweat off his forehead.
"Hey, Max!" he says smiling, even though he's breathing hard.
"Dude, why were you going push ups? We need to get out of here," you say.
"Oh, Muse says I need to get stronger to be able to break through the barrier," says Ed.
"And you're just gonna, like... punch it?"
"Yeah."
"After getting strong right this this very minute from push ups?"
"Hey, I'm just following Muse's patented four step training regimen. Step one is get buff. Step two is punch hole. Step three is ?????? Step four is profit."
"How did you make that question mark sound with your mouth?"
Ed shrugs. You shake your head and walk forward. You put your hand on the barrier to see if there's a way to get through it, like an invisible door. Suddenly, words appear on the barrier.
