Everything Went Dark

Emma asked Jordan if she's figured out how to work the new software The Radio installed on her phone. Jordan said she hadn't figured it out yet. Emma offered to show Jordan how it worked. Jordan agreed and handed her phone to Emma.

Emma turned on the device and almost immediately after picking it up it started flashing and this text popped up on the screen:

Rule #10: Lending your electronic device to another student is strictly prohibited.

Oh no. Emma and Jordan had unknowingly broken Rule #10. Emma dropped Jordan's phone as a hatch in the wall that was previously unseen opened up and a machine gun poked out. It was pointed at Emma and began firing. Bang bang bang bang bang bang...you get it. Emma crumbled to the floor. The gun stopped firing after Emma dropped dead. Jordan took a step back, fearing her punishment for breaking Rule #10. Instead of the gun pointing at Jordan next, the gun simply slid back into the wall. The hatch closed. Her phone dinged. She shakily picked up her phone and looked at it. It said:

You, Jordan, will NOT be punished for this break of rules. This is because you haven't had a chance to read or listen to the rules. I merely told you about how the game works, I should have told you the rules. DON'T mess up again. Also Emma is dead.

Jordan looked at Jennan in shock. She hadn't actually believed the 'kill' and 'execution' part was real. Jordan had kinda assumed that it was similar to something like Survivor, not an actual killing game. Jennan pushed her plate of food away from her and stood up. "I'm going to go check on Jack. Wanna come?" Jennan tried to ignore the fact that Emma had literally been shot to death. Jordan nodded slowly,"Alright. It'll be safe, right?" "Yea. Everything is going to be fine once we leave this room."
