Everything Went Dark
Elliana was definitely still alive. The two hiding under the table could save her! They rolled out from under the table and started firing at the creature. Because of the total panic the two were experiencing, their aim wasn't really the best. Bullets hit the walls, glass, random places in the kitchen, the fridge, and some did hit the demonic creature. It screeched in anger and threw the fridge at them. Jennan scrambled out of the way before it landed. Jordan wasn't as successful. The fridge hit her head on. Literally. The fridge hit her head. Jennan winced when she heard Jordan's bones crushing. The squelch of flesh and the crack of bones made her nauseous.
Jordan clearly wasn't but was Elliana? Jennan quietly crawled over and pulled the fridge door open. She was! Elliana was quivering in pain. Her hand was covering her mouth and tears were streaming down her face. She was several stab wounds across her body from the creature. Yikes. Jennan wasn't sure how to help her. The creature was waiting. And listening. And then it got bored and left the house, squeezing through a broken window. Elliana took Jennan's gun from her hand. Jennan thought she was going to fire at the creature as it was leaving.
Jennan was wrong.
Elliana held the gun to her head. Once she realized what Elliana was doing, Jennan tried to take the gun away from her. She was shaking her head frantically. No, no, no, no. Elliana looked down at her wounds then back up at Jennan, trying to say that her wounds would be too much for her and both wouldn't survive. She tried to pull the trigger. Jennan ripped the gun out of her hands and the bullet hit the smoke detector. Which caused it to go off.
"Damn it, Jennan." Elliana whispered, knowing that the spider monster would come back. "I was trying to save you."
"I know." Jennan whispered back.
The creature came bursting back into the room, two more looked like they were following in the distance. It came inside and went straight for the fire alarm. It smashed the smoke detector. The noise stopped but the alien had heard the whispers. Jennan aimed the gun at the creature.
"Give 'em hell." Elliana whispered.
Jennan fired the gun. But not at the creature.
After that, she sprinted out of the house. She didn't make it very far, though. Jennan was hit by a traffic light that had been hanging on to its post by a thread. It just happened to fall on her as she passed. She spun in a circle, feeling very dazed by the hit. Jennan fell onto the floor. Did she have a concussion? Head injury? She felt something wet on her face. She smelled something metallic. Was she bleeding? That didn't matter. Jennan felt tired. She closed her eyes. Everything went dark.
