You find yourself intercepted by a whole bunch of superoxide dismutase enzymes. They give you an electron alright, but now you're broken down into H2O2 and O2. Ouch. What's more, this is an enzyme we're talking about. You don't even get the satisfaction of permanently messing something up, because the dismutase can be brought back properly fairly easily by the body!
