Everything Went Dark

Trying to talk to Evie was pointless. She was probably really confused about everything. And from her facial expressions alone, Jack could tell that Evie was upset. Which was understandable, Jack had killed Tatum, Jennan, and almost her. Jack hugged his stomach and closed his eyes, hoping it wasn't too painful to be shot with a laser gun. Evie stared at him. She was a little confused that he had given up so easily. Evie stayed silent as she kept on staring him down. Evie fired the laser gun, aiming directly at his heart. Her aim was surprisingly accurate. His heart kept beating long enough for him to reopen his eyes and look back up at Evie. He fell to his knees. Jack nodded solemnly before crumbling onto the ground. Evie watched him for a moment. What now?
