Everything Went Dark

Evie looked pained as she suggested that Tatum should pour water on Jennan's face to wake her up while she goes to get Jack. Tatum hesitated too long so Evie grabbed Tatum's hydro flask and shooed her away to go talk to Jack. Tatum moved quickly once Evie opened her hydro flask. Tatum speed walked over to Jack. She greeted Jack with a rushed, panicked smile and hug. She explained what happened and Jack assumed her panicked behavior was because of guilt for accidentally knocking Jennan unconscious. Tatum noticed that Jack was carrying a grocery bag and asked what was in it. Jack showed her the box of ice cream bars he had brought. The box was already open. Jack said he already ate one. Their small talk was interrupted by a gross vomiting sound and a crash sound.

They both turned around to see Evie clutching her stomach, hunched over a small puddle of vomit. She had dropped Tatum's hydro flask. Evie was muttering to herself. Something about knowing this would happen, which made zero sense. Maybe she was woozy after vomiting. Jennan was convulsing on the ground next to her. That was slightly more concerning than Evie being sick. Jennan stopped moving shortly after which was a relief. But then Jack and Tatum realized that she wasn't moving at all. Not even breathing. Yikes. And after throwing up a few more times, Evie collapsed as well. Tatum's hydro flask was knocked over, probably from Evie dropping it. The smell of bitter almonds was much stronger.
