Everything Went Dark
Jack was intrigued by this radio. It is an old radio. Maybe from the 1920s? It is playing white noise. Maybe the sound is what made him go over to check it out. It looked to heavy to pick up, which is why he didn't try. There are several dials. Jack twisted some of them. After a second or so of messing with them, he found out that one turned the volume up and down, some didn't do anything, another changed the static to some old song. Jack listened to it for a brief moment. He decided the song wasn't bad. song. He twisted the last dial he hadn't twisted yet. It sounded like someone trying to speak.
Out of curiosity, Jack turned the volume up. It just produced more white noise. Jack studied the radio to try to find the on and off button. He found it and pressed it. Nothing happened. The radio stayed on. He kept trying. Again. And again. The radio stayed on.

The radio crackled. Jack paused and tried again. Nothing happened. Jack ignored what the voice had told him and kept trying to turn the radio off. That white noise was really bothering him. It got louder. So much louder, like it really hurt Jack's ears.
And then everything was silent.
