Ghost Pirates of the Sea-erra Madre
You decide to go with the merfolk.
You leave your submarine behind and accept their offer of an amazing technological device that allows you to breath underwater. It's a little strange at first, but you soon get used to it.
As you swim towards the merfolk's home one mermaid comes up and talks with you. Her teeth are very pointy.
"Are you a sea lion?" she asks. "Because I can sea you lion in my-"
"I'm a human being," you interrupt. "Not a sea lion"
"Ever ridden a mermaid?" she tries again.
"Uh, no, obviously not," you respond. "I had no idea they even existed."
"Wanna try?"
"No, I like swimming." How would you even ride one? On their back?
"Do you like seafood?" she asks. "Wanna taste m-"
"Oh, sorry, no, I don't eat seafood. Can't stand the stuff."
With that, the mermaid swims away. You realize you could have been a bit more polite, but honestly this is probably for the best.
You look up and realize that you're by yourself, all of the other merfolk have swum away too. How strange! In the distance you see a group of shapes coming towards you. They could be dolphins...or sharks!
