You gasp as you feel the entire house shake. Quickly, you take your phone and run out of the house to investigate.
Your house has started to disintegrate as a fire spreads. Coughing, you cover your mouth and run out of the house, hopping into your car and driving somewhere, anywhere else.
You feel tears prickle at the edges of your eyes, and you don't know whether it's because you've lost everything or the ashes coming at you.
Eventually, you stop at your parents' house. You try to explain what happened, but they just think that you burned your kitchen down. Nevertheless, they let you stay for the night so you can recover mentally and gather your thoughts.
As you lay down in the guest-room, you feel your eyes droop until you fall asleep, dreaming no dreams.
When you wake up, two blue eyes stare back at you. You shriek and pull your head back, but it hits a headboard. Huh. You don't remember there being a–
