The door slams shut behind them, and the four walk down the staircase, with Isabel in front, then Ed, Isaac, and Max at the back. All have their weapons poised - Isabel with her umbrella, Ed with his paintbrush, Max with his baseball bat and Isaac, who keeps his hands in front of him, ready to conjure some lightning.
