1962, you waited a year thinking this wall couldn't possibly stay, but overtime you were no longer allowed to wave to your family. a fence was built before the wall, with a clear area for shooting in between,"the death strip" is what they call it. The wall and fence are covered at the top with barbed wire, and guard towers are spanned out along the wall to watch for escapees. The escape will be much harder than you expected.
