The Other World
You sit in the chair at your desk and start the download of The Other World, a new video game where you play as a vampire, werewolf, or hybrid character who are at war against the witches.
You’ve been told by your friends that they’ve played the game, but do not remember finishing it.
The download finishes instantly and the game starts.
The first screen you see is the title screen with the text "The Other World:Whose Side Are You On?"
You press X on your controller and the next screen appears.
There is an opening image of a map of the continent of Ecia, a land divided into three countries populated by differing groups, the vampires, the werewolves, and the witches. The image of the map is burned as images of magical warfare are flashed across the screen. Witches are killing vampires and werewolves are attacking witches.
“This is our land,” one of the witches screams as she casts a spell of sunlight entrapment onto one of the vampires. They scream in agony inside of the bright box of light.
“No!” A werewolf growls as he charges at the witch. She dodges the werewolf’s teeth, narrowly missing the back of her neck.
More fighting occurs between the three groups of people as the image on screen focuses on a girl standing at the top of a hill. With fear in her eyes, she looks between the vampires and witches as they fight each other. She casts a spell to teleport herself somewhere else.
The screen goes black and then a character selection screen appears with three characters.
Sebastian Black - a young adult looking vampire that can’t control his thirst. He spends his days searching for his next drink and traveling the world, never spending more than 30 years in one place and he tries not to get too close to people.
Emmeryn - a young adult werewolf who’s pushed into a position of leadership in her clan after her father dies. She’s meant to be a family-oriented character who leads the other werewolves well, but she ends up running, seeking adventure, only to find that her people are in danger.
Ivy thorns, Black female hybrid character young adult who loves both her witch and vampire side. Life at home with her witch clan is fun and complicated. Although they accept her, some of the people there don’t like her because she is a hybrid. She soon takes over once her dad steps down as leader but her mom wants her to be head of the vamp clan because they’re more accepting.
