The Adventurous McGurn

Being aware you want to travel light, not knowing what lay ahead, you pack only the basics. You don't worry about packing a bedroll or tent because you're hoping you can improvise on the way.
You quickly slip into some sturdy clothes, and pack together a small collection of essentials.

You take some brass knuckles and handcuffs, along with some rope.

You place a collection of lockpicks into the bag.

Taking a small healer's kit you have gathered together over the years, you place it into your bag. It contains bandages, splints, salve and other items that will patch you up in the short term should you (or anyone you encounter) need it.

You don't want to take any two-handed weapons because they'll be too bulky so you pack two small daggers and, instead of a gun, choose your trusty crossbow with some bolts. It's quieter and more elegant than a pistol and you feel more comfortable using it.

Finally, you make sure to take some cantrips/spell parchments just to be safe; you know basics of magic but these will help you perform the spells with authority and power. You don't have many at your disposal so choose a simple charm spell, some light cantrips (to aide vision in darkened areas) along with a basic sleep spell. You also make sure you have something more aggressive so take a burning hands spell, allowing you to produce a flame from your hands, that can be projected towards an enemy, for a short period of time.

You pack one or two more essentials and then put your things away.
Securing your room, you adjust your bag and head out.
