Unbalanced
You dash after the group to the right of your room, managing to catch the edge of the man's robe in your fist. He glares down at your hand and then, sighing, looks at you.
"The Awakening has happened. The dead like you walk as the living. The walls between faiths have broken," he pauses as a rumble in the distance looses specks of ivory dust from the walls, "and now, we are both sides punished for the errors of our sins."
With that, he pulls away. A second rumble, much closer now than the first, causes a small crack to appear along the ceiling. A black light flickers in, casting harsh lines onto the ground like veins. The man backs away from the light, holding his hand against his throat. Before you can follow, the ceiling cracks open as heavy stone falls to the ground, cutting you off.
