The Adventures of Atticus King
"Alright Edwin," you can't believe your saying this, "I will go with you."
"Excellent! Let's leave right now!" Edwin says
"In the morning! I'm ruining my vacation for you, and I'm not letting you ruin my sleep!" You snug up to get some shut eye.
The next day you and Edwin find yourself at the airfield. You take off especially quick to freak Edwin out (you know he's not comfortable with heights!) You see nothing but ocean. You bought this old plane years ago for quick get away from work. It's never failed you.
It's awkward. He looks at the sea far below for hours. You are looking ahead. Your're both avoiding eye contact. The silence is unbearably awkward! After about three hours of silence, Edwin looks at you. "Atticus, I'm sorry for being such a jerk. I'm sorry I fired you, and I'm sorry I threw my tacos at your face. You were right to be mad at me, but I know the truth. None of it is real - they're all just stupid myths to scare kids. Can you forgive me?
