John Tullman: Letective Adventures!
"Who is your brother?" You ask.
"My brother? Well, his name is Metal Icas. He's 23 while I'm 25, which means he's younger than me. Just like me, he loves music with a passion. He also attended the University of Music like me. Unlike me, he's deep in debt and his job isn't paying him well enough to get him out of it. He's a very good person, however. He has never asked for or fought over money with me. He never badgers people over his problems. He rarely ever gets angry, but when he does, he always keeps it contained and never lets it affect others physically."
"Why was he convicted?"
"The police found... they- they foun- they found- they found my brother's fingerprints on the safe where my harmonica is kept. The fingerprints were made recently. I don't remember my brother touching the safe during the day, so they say that he must have done it during the night of the crime. My safe has a lot of locks, and I only shared the code for all of them with my brother. They also claim that he has a motive. 'Think about it. Your harmonica was created generations ago and is most likely extremely valuable. Your brother is in a lot of debt. He tries to handle it, but soon becomes desperate- that's when he remembers that his older brother has something that could potentially bring him out of debt and give him a fresh start!'. Those were the exact words they used. However, let me tell you now- my brother respects everyone's properties and there is no way he would ever do this. Both of us love and cherish the harmonica, and he fully understands that this harmonica means the world to me. I tried explaining this to them, but they wouldn't listen!"
Mente Ors turns to you. "He just gave you a lot of good information. Did you write it down?"
"Me? Oh, I was just listening."
"He mentioned a lot of important information. When you investigate, you write down the important points. You can refer to it later."
"Okay." You write inside of your note book. Here is what you have written:
"Metal Icas (Defendant): 23 years old (two years younger than Harmon). Has a passion for music. Has attended the University of Music. Is deep in debt. Has a very kind and respectful personality according to Harmon. "
Mente Ors looks at your notebook. "Good!" She says. "Write down notes like these every time your hear good information."
