Soul Thief
Irene walked through the stars at a brisk pace.
Oberon would not approve, but Irene was going to tell Edol what was happening to the human souls. After, that was, telling Edol a new Goddess had kidnapped a human child.
Irene felt her heart race in her chest. As she walked, planets began to bloom with luscious forests. When she returned later, the planets had formed their own skies.
Edol struck through one galaxy with a force great enough to explode it and everything within it.
He had not realized the delicate Irene was behind him, watching him.
"Edol," she said.
Stars exploded in every direction as Edol turned and looked at Irene.
He had expected Oberon.
"Irene," he said.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
Edol could not hide himself, admitted, "It was my first attempt at creating a galaxy. I thought I'd destroy it before it became too troublesome."
"I didn't think you destroyed anything," Irene said.
Edol smiled softly, said, "These humans took many trials and errors."
"There is a new Goddess, Edol. But I assume you know."
"Yes. Her name is Mira."
"She has stolen a human child and we are unable to find her," Irene said.
Edol shifted. His golden robes flittered through space.
"These new Gods are just becoming more and more problematic," he said.
Irene didn't believe that was true. She was as confused as Mira when she was created too. But Irene dared not to speak back to Edol.
"There is an unknown force stealing souls from the humans," Irene said.
Edol was silent, watched the galaxy he destroyed crumble to pieces.
"I know," he said.
"You do?" Irene asked.
Her hair flickered upwards. If she stood on Earth, vines would have formed around her feet.
"I know everything, my dear."
"Why haven't you done anything?"
"I was curious as to what would happen."
