The aircraft carrier

You take the stairs leading down, creeping down quietly until you hear footsteps behind you, at that point, you creep down rather quickly, and only make noise after you dart from the empty room at the bottom of the stairs into a large, bright room with 3 identical rows of washing machines. Some of them with piles of clothes on top, some with baskets on top, and a few have baskets lying in front of them. You shut the door as quietly as you can, but it still makes a 'CLUNK'. You hear it open again just before you dive
