The Secret Triwizard Challenge
Even though whatever is in the clearing will be able to see you, you decide to illuminate whatever just happened.
You cast Lumos and shine the light at the end of your wand into the clearing. You see that white fibers make up the ground, your wandlight glinting off of the shiny substance on them. You lean your wand further into the clearing and see movement above you. You look up and find one of your competitors being lifted into the sky by one of the monitors on brooms. She doesn't seem hurt, thankfully, but she was the one who screamed. Whatever's in here must be terrifying enough to take out your competition in one shot.
