Decisions
You go through the light. It feels warm against your skin, then it starts getting hotter. The light gets even brighter. You are unable to see because of the light, it burns your skin. Your clothes catch on fire, and you start trying to put it out. You flail around trying to save yourself. You trip against a hard surface and fall onto your back. The fire stopped, and the white your eyes saw are now pitch black.
