Rift Station: Open Worlds
The very existence of the rift overturned centuries of scientific understanding about FTL travel, became a key factor in several religions, sealed an alliance between two major galactic powers, and started at least one war with a distant empire.
It's all very routine to you however. A bit funny actually that you live and work around a gateway to all the far flung reaches of reality, but almost never leave the elaborate cage built to contain it. The two months you just took to attend to a private matter (half of it spent in travel) is the first time you've left the station in nearly a decade.
Maybe that realization and the rare break has got you feeling restless, maybe not.
