As you all silently count down, you all in perfect timing strum the first chords and note progression to "Polly."
As the beat and feeling of the song picks up, so does the crowds entrance closer to the stage, becoming more invested.
You get a pretty decent applause.
You follow it up with "Josh's song." The crowd is quite moved by it and applauds even louder.
You then end it off with "Lovesong", putting a well placed cap on the performance that leaves the audience fulfilled but still wanting more!
Jack approaches the stage, as you clear your equipment, either to pack it up, or move it out of the way for your next rival bands.
Jack holds up the Applause-O-Meter, and the crowd goes wild!
Jack: "I..I don't believe it folks! Well, they Applause-O-Meter has never been wrong. I have to go against my brother on this one, and give the opening round to GARDWIN CLOUD!!!"
The crowd cheers louder, as you set your gear aside, clearing room for the follow up bands in the roster, and exit the stage.
The next band up is a generic punk band, that you don't really have too much interest in, but Taylor seems intent on joining the mosh pit that starts to form.
You turn to Josh and start to discuss the outcome of your set.
Josh: "Yeah it was pretty good...but I'm super drained...worked way too early this morning and have been doing too much today, I don't know how well we will do the next set."
During the punk band's performance, Jack approaches you, as you see his brother slip behind the stage, fiddling with your main 20 watt amp.
Jack: "Great job! You guys will be up for round two in about 25 minutes"
