Find your perfect lure

In environments where there are a lot of weeds or grass to get hung-up on a weedless approach is needed. For cloudy and calm days I'd recommend a top water frog. The scum frogs almost never get caught on any vegetation and can be thrown anywhere.
For high sky sunny days you can't go wrong fishing a weightless, Texas-rigged, soft plastic. This presentation will get the job done in any shallow water situation.
