One House; Many Choices
You walk along the path that leads to the door. The path glows a little as you keep walking, being your only source of light besides the bright full moon above. You climb up the old, rotted stairs that lead to the small deck. There the door stood, barely hanging onto the screws to keep it in place. As you knock on the door softly, you notice the cracks and scratches covering it. After only one small knock, the door swings open and you see an old man in front of you.
The man inquires, "There is a room full of candy inside, do you want to come in and take some?"
You hesitate for a moment, thinking whether you made the right decision. But it was too late to go back.
You reply, "Sure."
He grabs you by the arm and pushes you into a room. As you quietly look around, you hear a clicking sound as the door locks behind you. You dash to the door and try turning the doorknob but it doesn’t open. Then you try pushing the door to break it down, using all your strength, but nothing happens.
You remember how your mom told you never to panic, so you calm down and look around. When you see faded blood on the floor, you realize that you are truly in danger. You get nervous as you slowly walk towards the other side of the room, and you prepare yourself to see a dead body or animal. Instead, two doors lay in front of you. One painted bright red with a scratch covering half of it, and the other is a brown door that looks completely normal. Which door do you choose?
