Lighting the lantern you pocket the map after a short study of the church grounds. The passageways in the church seem to be a bit more complex than you expected.
Quietly, you open the door and look out into the hallway. No one is there. Holding the lantern in front of you, you make your way into the hall.
Now able to see with the new found lantern you feel less anxious and more safe. You walk over and begin to descend the stairs.
When you reach the bottom you look up and realize you came quite a long way! There are two large wooden doors in front of you with a sliding window. You've come this far, you might as well go on.
According to your map these doors lead into the courtyard to the priest's quarters.
