You and your father have no choice but to leave him if you both want to live. You both throw him aside and sprint for the opening. After you both make it through, while panting you look back to see 3 monsters feasting on your neighbor. You and your father pray for him and return home with solemn and hollow bodies. Your father tells your neighbors family the next day and informs the town guards about what lives in the mountains. They take a fighter group and return with 5 men out of 20. They instead of killing all the monsters deemed it a restricted zone and that if you enter you may as well slice your own neck. You and your father keep eyes on the mountains as much as you can. Never trusting those monsters not to return. You grow older and start to contemplate what you want to do with your life.
