One Way Out
John stood there, glaring at where Brandon was moments before.
"What?" Emma walked in. John looked at her momentarily. He grabbed her axe from her and ran behind Brandon. Brandon heard John's footsteps and started running, but John was too fast for him. John caught up with Brandon and simply swung the axe in a huge arc, and struck him square in the back. John grunted as he removed it and swung it again at Brandon's face. Over and over again. You heard Emma swear and run off. You stayed rooted to your spot. When John was done, he wiped the blood from his face and dragged the axe behind him, walking slowly towards you.
"Thanks," he said. "You can hold on to this axe," he gave you the axe. "Where's Emma?"
"She must've left in the chaos," you said, feigning innocence.
"Let's find her, when you do, kill her. No need to wait for me," John said. He turned and started stalking down the corridor, looking for her.
