July MSQ: The Great Hunt
Outed by the party, the voidsent will try to fight the party. Hype him up as glowing purple and being possessed by void energy as to why this random Garlean is so strong.
It has 500 HP per party member, each party member has 800 HP.
Roll off for initiative.
Damage is difference in Attacker roll versus different in Defender Roll.
If someone wants to heal, it's the absolute value of their roll minus the DM's roll.
If someone wants to support buff, they pick a target and that target can add the absolute value of the buffer's roll minus the DM's roll.
If a player is downed, they are unconscious or too injured to continue fighting. Let players RP out the extent of their injuries.
If someone wants to bind/grapple/restrain the Garlean, he has to pass a 500+ roll to escape if their attack does any damage. If he fails three times in a row the voidsent gives up. Subtract 200 from any attack rolls he does while bound.
If there are more than 4 party members he gets 2 attacks on his turn, different targets.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Stress to players that they need to emote specifically what is happening in their emotes. If they start wailing on this dude with a greatsword with intent to kill and kill him, that's on them. Don't dissuade them from killing him, just remind people that non-lethal options are available.
