Telepath
Before she can stop you, you run to the window and click it open. The window is small, constricting, but you manage to pull yourself through as Mrs. Jelani grazes your arm. You look back, her eyes are wild, moving across your face in a frantic manner, "You need me!" She says, "Don't do this". But you are too far gone and are not planning on going on an adventure with your psychopath history teacher. Your feet set into a sprint across the football field and toward the parking lot. If you manage to get to the closest neighborhood you can lose anyone hunting you and get home.
You finally cross the parking, but you hear tires squealing in around the corner. Your eyes go wide as a white car stops in front of you from which three armed men come out. You run as fast as your feet can carry you. Bullets speed around you but you do not dare turn around or stop. The pressure in your head builds, adrenaline coursing through your muscles. "What should I get for dinner?" People's thoughts start swarming your head, "If I hit myself and it hurts, does that make me strong or weak?", "My boss will kill me!", "Where did I leave my keys?". Shut them out, shut them out, shut them out! You turn left to the back of a house and keep running.
The bullets have stopped but you can still hear the squealing tires. They are looking for you. What do these people want? So far, it looks like your life. The only option is to go home before they find out where you live.
The closest route is through the park-- it saves you five minutes and there are usually people around. However, it is also very open and you would be easy to spot. The other option is back around an elementary school-- it is secluded, not a lot of people walk the trail at this time. Are you willing to spare those precious ten extra minutes?
