One Way Out
You looked around and creeped past him from the other end of the commons, masking your own footsteps with his. You breathed a sigh of relief as he doesn't notice you. You walked a couple steps forward into the opposite hallway and heard a yell from behind you. It sounded like Landon's. You looked back and saw a flash. It looked like someone running.
You walked into the hall in-between the two adjoining halls and didn't risk peeking back. Demented laughter started ringing through the commons and you wonder what happened. Screams of pain continued. You couldn't help but to look and saw Brandon kneeling, looking inward, completely devastated. You walked closer, making sure that he couldn't see you. There was blood on the floor.
Brandon was staring at his hands, he was holding a lighter. Behind him was a carton of what looked like gasoline. He was muttering to himself, over and over again. You couldn't tell what it was.
Did he kill Landon? His own brother?
