Soulbound~Chapter Two

You ask him,
“So what’s your name I was kind of dozing off.”
He laughs and says,
“My name is Kade and I heard yours is Lacey.”
“Nice to meet you Kade. So um how do you know my name?” I say
“That teacher told me and apparently your the schools match maker.” He says
“Yes I am. Don’t you believe me?” I joke
“Not sure but I bet I could do a better job than you,” he says, “because I was my schools matchmaker.” Before I can respond the teacher tells us to find a partner. Kade looks over at me with his dark eyes and asks,
“Do you want to partner up?” He looks into my eyes smiling. I decided to partner with him I have no clue why but I did. My best friend Aria runs up to me, she smiles and asks,
“ Sooo are you going to ask out the new kid?”
“ Kade?” I ask
“Yes Kade” she says
“ umm I don’t know, why.” I say
“ Because of how you were looking at him. In class.” She teases
“I-I was n-not” I stammer I notice my face burning up
“Sureeee you weren’t” she teased. I sigh and walk out into the courtyard and sat down for lunch when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see Kade standing behind me with his lunch tray. He smiled at me and asked,
“Can I sit here?”
