Hunt or Be Hunted

You decide to head outside for a breath of fresh air.

You begin to pull yourself off the floor, your shoulder throbbing in pain. You roll it wincing as you do so.

Once on your feet, you make your way to the lodge entrance and exit.

You close the lodge door behind you as you do.

The warm humid air envelops you as you take your first few steps unto lush green vegetation.

The ground is illuminated by the moon. You gaze upon it fixated. It looks so beautiful. You know that by tomorrow it will be a full moon.

You take a deep breath and smell the damp earth. The woodlands are active with the sounds of bugs chittering, frogs croaking, and other wildlife calls.

Humongous trees surround you every couple of feet stretching so far you'd think there's no end to them.
