Zombie Apocalypse

...and notice him turning to look at me. I turn around to glance one last time but his eyes are vacant. Not only that, he looks ill. "Mr. Morton, are you doing all right? You don't look so well," I look around at the other yards, hoping an adult neighbor who knows him better will have an idea of what to do. He actually starts to walk towards me in a lazy gait. "Hold on, I'm going to get my mother. We can help you," I turn on my heel, grateful for an excuse to divide the awkward tension I'm feeling in half. I burst through my front door, yelling for my mom immediately. I dared not discuss the situation with Mr. Morton in ear shot, but once I found my mother I ushered her outside. But before we were outside we noticed Mr. Morton was inside our house. "....Disgusting", I thought. But my mother screamed as she noticed he had killed our dog and was biting into its neck.
