One Way Out
You asked John about what Jonathan did. John shrugged and said, "Well, let's just say that our views are a little different about things. He thinks we should actually work together, at first I thought he was joking but turns out he wasn't. He wanted to leave the school, he doesn't understand how much fun we'll have here. A bit of a buzzkill if you ask me."
You nodded at his words.
"I hope you won't be like Jonny, I'd appreciate it if you were more like Emma. Aaron. Emma's pretty great at doing what I tell her to. She doesn't really chat with me much but I get the sense that we're on the same page. Are you on the same page as me?" John asked.
"Of course," you replied.
"Great, well I'm sensing a little alliance here that would benefit us both. If you see Jonathan, would you care to point him my way?"
"Sure," you had no choice but to agree.
