A Day in the Life
You: I like the meetings :)
Carlos: What! Who likes meetings?? :) Anyways, a couple of buddies of mine and I are going to check out this new place tonight. You in?
You pause with hands hovering over the keyboard. You were not expecting an invite out tonight from Carlos. It sounds fun to you and your social life is getting pretty thin lately... But showing up with no way to communicate to a new place to meet a bunch of new people also sounds like a lot of work. Of course, you've shown up to hearing gatherings many times before so its not a huge deal. You reflect on why you are feeling so nervous about this. You reflect on the day and realize it has been pretty eventful and exhausting. Maybe going out and meeting new people is just the shot of fun you need to add some good to the day.
