The Thief's Tale
You stand up straighter and walk by the officer as casually as you can. The only thing you can do is PRAY that the officer doesn't question you.
"Good morning, officer!" you call out cheerfully as you stroll past the policeman.
Instead of responding, the police simply nods his head at you and continues to walk by. You keep walking straight ahead, finally turning onto a deserted ally to take a deep breath.
"Oh my God, that was close," you mumble to yourself, and then you begin to walk home. After all, it's been a long day.
