Post Apocalyptic
Scaling the house was a very bad option, because not only are you feeble, but you're also afraid of heights. Not a great combination. Finding a thick piece of rope on the tree, you untie it and re-tie it around your waist for support. You then tie the other end into a circle and throw it hoping it catches on something. It does the third time, and you begin climbing. You beg yourself not to look down, but the horrors of what you may see convince you to look. It begins to make you nauseous and you look back up. Falling from this height seems deadly. Your foot is on a loose shingle, and you slip, sending you and part of the roof down with you.
You had forgotten to make the rope not as long as the floor, and the rope does nothing to save you.
But falling isn't deadly, and you have a pain that could only be described as breaking your arm. There's no way that these people didn't hear you, and to further prove your point, as you begin to stand up to get a medic, you hear talking come from the first room.
