“It’s okay, Aphrodite.” You give her a sad smile. “I hope that we never have to fight.”
“I’m gonna give you a head start, so just go.”
With a nod, you quickly leave the room, heading down the hallway towards the entertainment room. Just as you reach for the door, it opens to reveal Hera and Apollo. They look back at you, surprised, before both cracking smiles.
“Hello there, Hestia!” Says Apollo in an overly cheerful tone. “What’s up?”
“Oh, I’m just nervous about that announcement that Hades made,” you say nervously. “I don’t really know what to do.”
“We know that Aphrodite is the Fury he’s talking about,” Hera tells you. “Why don’t you stick with us for today? We can all protect each other from her.”
Something about her tone makes you want to run and never look back, but at the same time, you really don’t know who’s a Fury and who isn’t.
