If I Were To Love
You tell the cab driver that you don't need him anymore, he looks a little annoyed and drives off. you walk back to the house, rip up the note and call your sister. "I need your help, I don't know what to do," you say in a scratchy voice. "Just do what you think is the right thing. Do what you think shows love." she replies. You think about that as you apologise for running off. You say goodbye and you are left with your own thoughts. Her words keep swirling in your head. "Shows love?" What does that mean. You go for another walk, you find wandering around in your old town is comforting. You find yourself at the church. There are still lights on and the door is unlocked so you decide to go in. The priest is still there, saying goodbye the the last person who wanted confession. You walk over, he sees you and smiles. "Do you want to have confession?" he asks. It has been forever since your last confession, but maybe this will. You agree and walk into the room. In the room there is two chairs separated by a wall that goes half way through the small room. The priest closes the door behind us and a green light turns red to signal that there is someone confessing. "I'm here to ask advice" you say. "Okay, have a seat" he says as he gestures to the chair on the left. You tell him the situation and he thinks for a moment. "It is your choice to forgive her or not, but all I can say is have love for her." You walk out of the room knowing what you should do. It is 2:30, you start walking towards the restaurant, feeling a little lighter than before. You are confident in your decision.
