Dying Lake
Tigerfang perks up. "Great!" She purrs. You can't help but let out a mrow of amusement. She's been purring at everything! You and your mother head over to the fresh-kill pile, leaning down and grab a large rabbit. You both carry it near the entrance and settle. Your mother's paws fold neatly under her and she leans forward and takes a small bite, chewing calmly. You clumsily copy her actions, trying to look as neat and as regal as your mother does right now. As you both eat, she tells you about her day. "Today, while I was hunting, I saw a completely black rabbit! It even had blue eyes." She says. Her story is boring and drawn out, but you listen anyway. "Tigerfang! Frostpaw!" Comes a joyful voice. You both crane your necks to look at Hawkclaw, your father. He's one of the Clan's best hunters. "Hawkclaw!" Tigerfang exclaims in delight. Hawkclaw nuzzles your mother, then licks the top of your head. He settles down next to Tigerfang, also tucking his paws under his chest, but he doesn't lean forward to take a bite of the rabbit. His ear has a nick, and as you eat, you notice that it's new. Tigerfang doesn't seem to notice, she only chatters like a starling, looking very pleased. You tilt your head a bit, also noting that he has a small, somewhat healed scar above his nose. It's small, and you can only tell from looking so closely. Before your father can see you're studying his features like you've never seen him before, you quickly lean down to take a bite of your food.
You have 5 choices:
- You want to ask about the wounds, but maybe after food. Tigerfang might be upset
- "Hawkclaw, where did those wounds come from?" You mew.
- Silently try to ask your father with your expression and tail movements.
- "Hawkclaw, did something happen today?" You ask.
- Say and do nothing. It's not your problem, it's his.
