The Great Sael Adventure 1

As you and the crew freeze in indecision, Lenny (the ship's token kerosene lamp entrepreneur (every ship has one)) notices a shiny doubloon, tails up, in the light of his proprietary kerosene lantern while walking up the stairs. He picks it up, puts it in his pocket, and continues walking. As Lenny bends upwards, he takes another step up the stairs but falls over, skinning his knee. He powers through, getting up to continue his trudge up the stairs. Realizing he's scraped his pants, he thinks to himself, "Golly gee, I better get a patch on that." Lenny returns to the bowels of the ship, carrying his trusty kerosene lamp with him, and makes his way over to ye olde sewing machine. In a crazed scramble, Lenny grabs the only piece of fabric available (part of a silk nighty!) and begins to stitch it on to his pants while they are still attached to his body. In his excitement, Lenny exclaims, "Wowee!" Because of the position of the moon and the stars and the sky, the frequency of Lenny's exclamation creates a loud rumble that vibrates the sewing table. This rumble causes the kerosene lantern to tip over (oh no!), which sets the sewing table and everything touching it (including Lenny vis-a-vis his pants) ablaze.

•TWO MINUTES LATER, UPSTAIRS (YES, YOU'VE BEEN FROZEN IN INDECISION THIS WHOLE TIME)•

Barrie (the one with the big nose) turns his head to the side and says, "Does anybody else smell that?" Just as Jean (the one with the small nose) says "No..." a fire erupts from the lower deck and quickly engulfs the ship. The eel, surprised, tries to run away. In his haste getting ready this morning (he had taken great care in matching his clothes but ran out of time to put them on), he tied his knickers too tight, cutting off circulation to his leg. He falls over, shouting "Dang nabbit, if only I'd worn my fireproof knickers today!" Because of populism, the eel is overwhelmed by flames. The ship simmers at 450º in the distance for a good while before turning to ash.

It is said that, to this day, in Lake Pourte O CAR LOW TAH on nights where you wish to have your clothing repaired, you will see ashes appear in the water glass nearest you. (Or you would, if your own journey had not ended)
