Erinyes Game
You take a sharp right, dashing up the steps as fast as you can. You entertain the notion of simply hiding in your own room, but the Fury probably knows who you are. That would just mean certain death.
As you walk down the hallway, you realize that the ninth door is ajar. Aphrodite’s room.
Hoping that she survived the Fury, you slip inside and shut the door. Aphrodite’s room is decorated in pink and white, with cute decorations and gold-detailed furniture.
The first thing you notice is that she’s not there. The second thing you notice is the black suit and array of knives lying on a table by her bed.
“What is this…?” You walk forward, looking at the black suit. It comes with a matching mask, gloves, and even shoes. The knives are of all sizes and shapes, all deadly-looking.
“I’m sorry, Hestia.” Hades sounds truly upset. You’d forgotten he was there, watching your every move. You barely react to his words.
The door opens behind you. You slowly turn to confront the Fury, tears pricking your eyes.
“Oh, Aphrodite,” you sigh. “How could you?”
With the mask now obsolete, the Fury pulls it off their face. Aphrodite looks back at you with a blank stare.
“I’m sorry you had to find out this way, Hestia,” she says. “I never wanted things to come to this.”
“Aphrodite, let’s just talk about this.”
Shaking her head, Aphrodite rushes towards you, knife up at the ready. You have just seconds to react.
